Arbors at Ridges, an Assisted Living building in Burnsville, currently has an opportunity available for an On Call/Casual Events (Activities) Assistant. The position is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of quality recreation& leisure events program to assist tenants in maximizing their potentials in mind, body and spirit.
Provides customer service excellence to all tenants, families, and staff.
Effectively communicates, coordinates and leads individual and group events to maximize tenants’ participation levels.
Communicates and assists other departments with special events and family functions.
Documents as required.
Completes computerized flyers, memos and / or calendars as assigned by Events Director.
Offers ideas and suggestions to the Events Director to ensure the events program reflects tenants’ needs / interests.
Manages conflict between tenants during events.
Receives driver and safety restraint equipment procedure training for 14-passenger van and drives the van for various resident outings and shuttle bus service on the campus. Uses proper body mechanics when restraining wheelchairs in van.
Ensures tenants safety during all scheduled outings and shuttle bus trips.
