Overview

Fairview Health Services is looking for a Nursing Station Technician (NST) for the Outpatient Observation Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital (Burnsville, MN) works under direction of nursing personnel (RN and LPN’s) to provide patient care while functioning as a nursing assistant and as a health unit coordinator.

About this position:

  • This position is working on the rotating day/evening shifts (7am-330pm and 3 pm -1130pm)

  • D/E 8 hour shifts during the week

  • Every 3 rd weekend, 12 hour day shift

  • 64 hours in two weeks, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts.

Duties may include:

  • Patient cares with includes vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights and transporting

  • The NST also will help take care of the environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms) and use of equipment, phones, clerical, transcription, and coordinate the flow of communication on the unit
