Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, is looking for a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible orthopedic surgeon to join its busy and growing medical practice. Grand Itasca is a fully integrated multi-specialty clinic and hospital located in Northern Minnesota. Grand Itasca offers competitive first year income guarantee, with generous signing bonus and moving allowance. Practice Opportunity The practice is general orthopedics. Grand Itasca has a Level III trauma rating, so cases therefore consist mainly of bread and butter orthopedics such as hip fractures, wrist fractures and long bone fractures. Our elective practice consists of a broad spectrum of problems including joint replacements, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder and hand and foot surgery. Ample opportunity is available for developing subspecialty interests.Grand Itasca is a fully integrated clinic and hospital with over 600 employees, including over 60 providers providing primary and specialty care such as family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, urology, cardiology and oncology. Grand Itasca providers see 10,000 to 12,000 clinic patients per month. The hospital operates a 4-bed intensive care unit, 10-bed women’s health and birth unit, 30-bed medical/surgical/pediatric unit, and a Level III Trauma Center emergency department that averages 16,000 visits on an annual basis. The facility has five operating rooms; currently averaging 300 surgical cases per month. The primary service area of the clinic includes roughly 50,000 people. In the local and surrounding community, Grand Itasca is the dominant provider of primary care services.
