Fairview Health Services Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, LPN) - Walk In Care - $1000 sign on bonus in Maplewood, Minnesota
Provides professional, quality care to patients in the ambulatory setting. Partners with other clinical staff and providers to perform daily patient visits including rooming patients, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and accurately documenting. Actively supports provider workflow and a positive patient experience while performing job responsibilities following established scope of practice, policies, protocols, and procedures. May float to other ambulatory sites as needed.
This position would work out of Maplewood and Woodbury Walk-In Care clinics.
$1.25 shift differential after 4pm and on weekends!
Works within the scope of practice defined by HealthEast and under the direction of the provider
Escorts patients to the exam room. prepares patient for visit with provider, and approriately andaccurately documents patient information in the medical record
Prepares and administers medications as directed by the provider
Processes patient calls and messages in order to assist patients and provider workflow
Includingbut not limited to gathering data/information and communicating with patients in person or via phone
Demonstrates and promotes understanding of high quality patient care while utilizing evidence basedpractice to reach HealthEast clinical quality, patient experience, employee engagement, andsmart growth/financial health measures
Performs laboratory specimen collection and processing to ensure accurate and appropriateperformance of patient testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and confidentiality
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures andstandards
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements
Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned
Trade or Vocational CertificationCompletion of CMA/RMA or able to obtain within 6 months of hire or LPN program requiredCredentials
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
No previous ambulatory experience required
