Fairview Health Services Nurse Clinician Trauma - Part Time - Multiple Sites in Maplewood, Minnesota
Specializes as a clinician with specific expertise in trauma care across the ED and inpatient spectrum. Performs chart audits, develops performance improvement plans, partners with appropriate department clinical educator.
Provides documentation and maintains the Trauma Base and HealthEast Trauma Database
Responsible for accurate and timely submission of outcomes data
Provides staff education as appropriate
Continuously seeks to increase the quality and value of services provided to our customers
Participates in outreach related to promoting continued education of Trauma injury prevention
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements
Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned
Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Registered Nurse MN (RN) from the MN Board of Nursing
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) from the Emergency Nurses Association Preferred
3-5 years, ED, ICU or orthopedics required
Strong knowledge of Trauma Registry Data Base

Evidence Based Practice: Evaluates and/or assists in the evaluation of practice in relation to existing evidence identifying opportunities for the generation and use of research
Nursing Process: Utilizes the nursing process to provide holistic, compassionate, safe, high quality, population based care
Professional Practice: Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional
Training/Development: Ability to design, develop and/or deliver training programs
