Fairview Health Services Hospitalist - Physician Assistant in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Hospitalist team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about inpatient medicine and excited about clinical quality. This role will function as a critical member of the health care team working collaboratively with a group of Hospitalists (both physicians and advanced practice providers). The care team delivers care to inpatients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
This position meets our patient needs through working block schedule of 7 on 7 off.
We are seeking Advanced Practice Providers to work on various services.
Must be interested in working in a large academic environment with high acuity and complex patients.
We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

A qualified PA candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Be eligible or have a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Be certified through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
A qualified NP candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program. Have a current Minnesota APRN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Be eligible or certified through ANCC / AANP and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
Inpatient experience strongly preferred.
