Fairview Health Services Patient Services Coordinator - FWF in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) - FWF is responsible for scheduling and re-scheduling patients and may also serve as the primary receptionist for the department/program. This role creates the “first impression” guests (patients or visitors) through the check-in/-out process and scheduling process. This position interacts closely with patients and the multidisciplinary team in a highly organized and professional manner. Ensures the exceptional patient experience is achieved by displaying effective customer service, problem solving and communication skills in a friendly, thoughtful and empathetic manner. The PSC also performs a variety of clerical functions. As a FWF PSC this position covers vacations, LOA’s, volume needs and sick calls across the rehab locations at multiple sites with multiple start times.

This job requires a lot of staff flexibility, and will have early start times as early as 4:30/5:00am. This employee will work Monday-Friday for 6 hour shifts, with the option to pick up longer shifts if the site allows.

This employee will cover all the Inpatient scheduling sites (UMMC, FRH, FSH), as well as our central insurance team, and TCU/ARU admissions coordinator.
