Overview

We provide extensive home and outpatient infusion services to patients requiring IV therapy such as feeding by IV, infection treatment, chemotherapy, pain management and blood products/transfusions. Fairview Home Infusion is one of the largest home infusion organizations in the upper Midwest. It uses a care team structure—pharmacists, doctors, nurses, nutritionists, insurance experts—and customized operational services and reports to meet the needs of referring providers and patients. Our outpatient infusion centers provide chemotherapy and other infusion services along with clinical consultation and patient education. Specialized pharmacists work in collaboration with patients’ physicians and nurses to coordinate care at ambulatory suites throughout the Twin Cities and the surrounding Duluth area.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The Casual Quality and Education RN role is responsible for supporting the home infusion quality department by assisting with the following tasks:

  • Provide clinical training for home infusion and community home care agency staff related to management of IV therapy, enteral therapy, venous access device management, etc.

  • Create patient and staff education tools utilizing best practice resources

  • Evaluate clinical reports to determine infection rates in home infusion patients

  • Aggregate and analyze quality and outcome data

Position will require travel within the metro area. At times, regional travel will be required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or other healthcare related degree

  • Registered Nurse or Pharmacist’s license

  • 3+ years of recent Home Infusion Therapy experience, or, 5+ years of relatable Infusion experience in a hospital or outpatient setting

  • Recent experience with responsibility for regulatory compliance, accreditation and policy development

  • Recent experience in training, education and management of home infusion patients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Infusion Therapy, Oncology Nursing or Board Certified Pharmacist
