Fairview Health Services RN Med Surg in Princeton, Minnesota


At Fairview Northland Medical Center the Med Surg unit consists of medical and surgical, pediatrics, and adult Intensive Care patients. The Med/Surg/Peds unit consists of 22 beds and the ICU has 4 beds. We have 43 nurses, 12 nursing assistants (also known as nursing station attendants), and 1 HUC. We are recognized for having high employee engagement results, high patient experience, and an atmosphere of accountability. This position would be reporting to the nurse manager, Alinda Kramer RN, BSN, who has worked at Fairview for 20 years.

Other information about this position:

  • 8 hour shifts, .6 FTE, rotating day/evening

  • Every other weekend

  • RN will work both ICU and Med Surg

  • Future training for Charge RN responsibilities

  • This position is located in Princeton, MN

Responsibilities/Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.



  • Current MN RN license in good standing

  • Current BLS certification


  • ACLS certification

  • Current ICU and Charge Nurse experience

  • BSN or BAN
