Supports the Nursing Process to achieve outcome focused patient care
Communicates effectively with patient/family, the interdependent team and other disciplines regarding the care of the patient
Achieves customer service excellence by understanding the needs of all internal and external customers (patients, families and physicians)
Documents patient information in EHRHER and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards and department policies and procedures
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements
Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned
Associate's Degree required
Bachelors degree in Psychology/Chemical dependency or related field preferred
1 year experience in Mental Health preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Nursing Assistive Core Competencies - Patient Care Delivery: Observes and collects pertinent data and/or clinical findings to enhance patient outcomes
Nursing Assistive Core Competencies - Patient Education: Provides patient educational information appropriate to the developmental level, learning needs, readiness, cultural values, and beliefs of patients and families
Nursing Assistive Core Competencies - Patient Safety: Demonstrates practices that support safety with recognition of variations in populations served, preventing harm to patients, families, employees, and themselvesComputer Skills Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc)
Crisis Intervention: Ability to identify, assess, understand, and cope with a serious situation, especially from the moment it first occurs to the point that recovery procedures start
Medical Terminology/Spelling: Familiar with medical terminology and medical spelling
