Overview

Analyzes the clinical and non-clinical databases for HealthEast Medical Transportation while continually ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data. Develops custom formatted reports to be utilized in the continued improvement in all performance dimensions. Assures the quality and functionality of software and hardware utilized by HEMT in all service lines with direct support by acting as a liaison with corporate Information Services.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters and contributes to a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking

  • Is expected to turn project requirements into custom-formatted data reports

  • Use data to create models that depict trends in the various performance dimensions

  • Work with HEMT leaders to outline the specific data needs and develop meaningful reporting methods to illustrate performance trends

  • Work with leadership team to create a prioritized list of needs with timelines to facilitate completion

  • Provides educational support to HEMT staff and leadership in areas related to data gathering, documentation and the hardware and software utilized in those activities

  • Performs statistical analysis of data from HealthEast Medical Transportation (HEMT) databases and provides objective interpretation of the results to the end user

  • Responds to and works with end-user requests for specialized report creation, modification and information

  • Manages, coordinates and trouble shoots work related to the Zoll Data Management Console (Dispatch and Billing), driver monitoring systems, MDT Operating system , vehicle tracking and navigation assistance systems, mobile data modems, Tablet and CAD reporting updates, EMS equipment updates as related to data collection, OMG hardware and software in collaboration with Corporate IT

  • Monitors downloaded data received from internal and external sources and assesses program information and reporting needs

  • Monitors and maintains vehicle tracking and MTD navigation systems to assure effective deployment, timely vehicle responses and accurate mapping

  • Designs and modifies clinical databases and master files and provides summary information to key stakeholders for process improvement and assessment

  • Researches clinical data failures and recovery strategies

  • Manages MDT tracking and troubleshooting and provides User training/tablet tips as necessary and as determined by Electronic Patient Care Reporting (EPCR) workgroup to aid the end-user in the use of the tablet

  • Manages all aspects of the outcomes database, including data processing, data quality control, data analysis, and HealthEast Medical Transportation (HEMT) dashboard

  • Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports

  • Performs as liaison between HealthEast Medical Transportation and vendors’ customer and/or technical support for software and hardware utilized by HEMT

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements

  • Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 2 years of related experience preferred

  • Or the combination of some education and at least 2 years of related experience

  • Strong working knowledge of hardware and software technologies utilized in computer-aided-dispatch, telecommunications, mobile communication, driver monitoring systems used by HEMT and the data those systems generate

  • Strong working knowledge of the analysis and usefulness of collected data

  • MS Office, Access and other database products

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new database and computer software through independent study

  • Extensive Crystal reports experience strongly desired

  • Ability to Identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternative solutions

  • Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task

  • Ability to analyze data to interpret and evaluate results, and create reports and/or presentations

  • Knowledge of appropriate data collection policy and procedures, filing systems, data management systems and programs

  • Collection, examination, and interpretation of quantitative data to discover its underlying causes, patterns, relationships, and trends use to aid in decision making

  • Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection

  • Knowledge of appropriate data collection policy and procedures, filing systems, data management systems, and programs

  • Ability to compile, assimilate, organize, and store printed and electronic information accurately
