Overview

Clinical Manager, is charged with the unit operations for specific department/unit ensuring consistency and accountability of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes

  • Manages day-to-day operation of the department ensuring department meets the needs and expectations of HealthEast and its customers

  • Works with the Clinical Director in establishing unit goals and objectives.Identifies problems and issues, develops solutions, and implements plans of action in order to promote customer satisfaction and service

  • Maintains quality assessment and quality improvement activities. Monitors productivity and procedure volume data. Maintains equipment inventory and service reports

  • Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements and education

  • Completes staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage

  • Promotes family-centered care and patient safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Nursing required

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Valid RN-MN license from the Minnesota Board of Nursing

  • ACLS from American Heart Association may be required for some units

  • CNOR preferred for some units

  • 2 years nursing experience required

  • Preceptor and charge nurse experience required

  • Experience with quality improvement activities

  • Ability to function as a charge nurse, preceptor, clinical resource, and educator

  • Must be a clinical expert
