Job Description:

This individual works within the nursing clinical areas to direct and/or participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of orientation, training and continuous development of new and existing staff (Nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel). Incorporates existing and new practice, quality, safety and regulatory standards that align with the organizational/unit culture and goals while assuring competent successful socialization and competent clinicians.

This position will focus on the 3 Emergency Departments, East and West bank Adult ED, and West bank Pediatric ED and the Observation Unit.

Job Qualifications:

BA or BS Nursing Degree is required. MA/MS in Nursing or Education preferred. MN Nursing License and BLS certification required. Staff Development Certification preferred. Applicant must have 3-5 years experience working within a speciality area, and experience with teaching others preferred. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt well to new technology/computers and must have excellent problem solving skills.

Emergency Department experience preferred.
