Job Description:

Determines Operating Room surgical instrument needs for surgery cases and sets up surgical instrument trays. Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments including preparation. Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles, sterilizes, stores and distributes surgical instruments for Surgery and Obstetrics for Fairview Ridges, Fairview Southdale, Fairview Lakes Regional, Fairview Northland Regional and University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview corporate. Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses and medical staff in the Operating Room regarding surgical instruments.

Job Qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or GED 6 months Sterile Processing or related experience Certified Registered Central Service Technician(CRCST), If not certified must obtain within 1 year of hire. Preferred: Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician(CRCST). Surgical Tech experience. 3 years' experience as a surgical instrument processing technician.
