Performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired cardiac diseases.
Shifts are: Day shifts working Monday - Friday + call (60 minute call response)
Demonstrates ability to evaluate the cardiac status by using a logical and systematic approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally.
Extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations. Ability to evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease.
Knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures for the repair or partial repair of congenital heart disease and the various modifications encountered for different congenital disorders.
Knowledge of the 3 major categories of corrective procedures and the variations encountered.
Ability to evaluate complex fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology
Ability to provide relevant echocardiographic data, making quantitative calculations and communicating the impressions for the physicians.
Participates in quality assurance activities
Participates in research studies as needed
This position is elligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus
Associates Degree in Echocardiography
Bachelors Degree in Echocardiography
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - adult or pediatric
