This position is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and / or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, reordering and stocking supplies. The nursing assistant does not work autonomously but under the direction of a professional nurse. He / she may or may not be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager / charge nurse. The Health Unit Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating all clerical functions on nursing station.
This position will be working 8 hour shifts, 7:00am-3:30pm, every other weekend.
Required:Currently active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry or EMT registry. BLS certification.
Preferred:Experience as an EMT or a Nursing Assistant.
