Job Description:

The Endoscopy Technician is an integral part of the GI team within the Endoscopy department located at Fairview Southdale Hospital (Edina, MN) who under the guidance and direction of the nursing (RN) team accomplishes a variety of delegated nursing assistive tasks such as equipment and supply set-up, assisting with collection of specimens and patient data, cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and scopes, exam room prep and clean-up including the documentation of cleaning and disinfection processes. They will complete direct patient care duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

Position is casual hours(pick up shifts ahead of time and last minute needs) shifts times are 730, 830 and 930 am start. M-F shifts.

Job Qualifications:



Graduate of an accredited: Surgical Tech, or Endoscopy Tech or Instrument Tech Program or specialized training/education in gastroenterology.


AHA BLS for healthcare providers



Specialized training or education in gastroenterology.


AAMA or CSSD Certification

Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time):

Ability to complete the SGNA GI Associate's program
