Job Description:

The Hand Therapy Fellow is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care including Examination, Evaluation, Diagnosis, Planning, Intervention and Establishing Outcomes.

University of Minnesota Program in OT Therapy Fellow Position Summary: The Therapy Fellow will instruct and support student learning for entry level Occupational Therapy (OT) students in classroom, simulated clinical, and cadaver lab environments. The employee will provide support to OT course director, and lab instructor, in these same environments through lab setup/takedown; and classroom space management. The employee will support student learning through fielding questions and facilitating discussions.

As required by licensure

Experience

Completion of one year of Occupational Therapy in a physical disabilities environment

License/Certification/Registration

Current Licensure by state of Minnesota for Occupational Therapist

Preferred

Education

Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience

One year experience Hand Therapy

One year of experience in upper extremity rehabilitation, including experience in use of physical agent modalities. Experienced in use of electronic medical record.

License/Certification/Registration

Completion of certified course in physical agent modalities or proof of education and instruction through OT graduate degree.

Additional Requirements:

Basic Life Support certification
