Job Description:

The Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties on a patient care floor and must be able to work in a busy environment. These duties include answering telephone calls, arranging transportation of the patients and coordinating unit activities . The HUC is also responsible for keeping chart order, filing charts, and transcribing physician orders.

Job Qualifications:

Completion of HUC training program preferred. Demonstrated HUC experience of 1 to 2 years if HUC VoTech training has not been completed. Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills, computer skills are required.
