Job Description:

HUC (Health unit coordinator) position available in the Main Operating Room at Fairview Southdale hospital (located in Edina, MN)

Casual hous; day and early evening shifts available to pick up for preplanned absences and last minute needs. Strong desire for someone to work e/o weekend and some evenings.

This position has a strong commitment to customer service, patient and physician satisfaction. The successful candidate must work well with others in a busy environment, have excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with surgeons and nurses. Job duties include working with the EPIC computerized charting system, adding patients to the surgery schedule, facilitating the NaviCare system and other tasks to support Perioperative services.

Job Qualifications:

Must have at least one year working experience in a HUC role. HUC certification is preferred.

Must have very clear and effective communication skills and a strong desire to promote customer service. Must do well in a very busy and fast paced working environment.
