Job Description:

The Housekeeping Aide performs cleaning duties as assigned and keeps the facility orderly, attractive, clean and sanitary. The Housekeeping Aide also works in a patient care environment and provides cleaning services to medical staff as requested.

The schedule for this position is casual and on a part time basis.

Job Qualifications:

Able to lift 0 - 40lbs frequently

Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift

Capable of lifting furniture and equipment (25 - 100lbs) frequently

Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100lbs) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift

Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e. bleach, wax, disinfectant, etc.)

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even hours as needed per assigned area

Must have communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Requires ability to work independently

Able to clean using repetitive motions, reach above shoulders, stoop and bend at the knees.
