This Nurse Manager role will plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate patient care activities of Station 88 which is a 43 bed adult oncology, medical/surgical and urology unit. This includes resource management, quality, regulatory compliance, educational opportunities, and financial management duties. This role serves as a leader and role model to all staff and also maintains clinical competencies of staff.
Manages the day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of assigned area(s) and Fairview Health Services.
Responsible for human resources management for assigned area(s) to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
Responsible for effective fiscal management of assigned area(s) to ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates the quality improvement program for the department.
Responsible for communication within the assigned areas.
Assumes responsibility for compliance with internal and external regulations, policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains a healthy, supportive work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with service excellence.
Demonstrates ability to provide care, service and leadership adjusting approaches to recognize diversity and developmental level of population served or lead.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelors is not in nursing then must have a Master's degree in nursing.
3 years clinical nursing experience
1 year of nursing leadership experience
Minnesota RN license
Preferred Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
Other forms of supervisory or management experience
