Working under the direction of Nursing Personnel on Med Surg 3 (Medical and Cardiac patients) at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. Nursing assistant will partner with nursing team (RN/NA or NST) to provide care. Duties may include; patient cares, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, care of environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms) and use of equipment. May work as a patient attendant.
WORK SCHEDULE:56 hours in two weeks, 8 hr shifts, e./o wknd, share of holidays. Benefit eligible , Nights are 11pm -730 am
opportunity to pick up shifts may exist.
Previous experience as a nursing assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant, or currently a nursing student with at least 1 semester of nursing clinical completed required
Ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency for healthcare providers
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a diverse patient population, multi- tasking abilities
Strong customer service experience and excellent communication (phone and in person) and teamwork skills.
Must have computer competencies; including computer-based charting.
Acute or sub acute Nursing Assistant experience work experience
Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting -max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work
