Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Director with department operations in the Care Suites at Fairview Southdale Hospital. This includes supervision of personnel and projects as delegated, including but not limited to hiring, discipline and performance evaluations.

The Care Suites include pre-post cath lab and radiology/imaging patients. The Care Suites also have cardiovascular patients.

Other duties include:

Supervising staff on patient care units

Assisting in managing the day-to-day or shift-to-shift operations

Focusing on customers

Acting as a role model

Assisting with managing fiscal operations on the unit

Collaborating with nursing and provider leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice

Utilizing process improvement methodology to insure delivery of safe and quality patient care

Demonstrating ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

BSN completed or currently enrolled in a program to complete BSN program or enrolled within two years of acceptance

MN RN License

3 years of experience with cardiac patients, cath lab patients or radiology/imaging patients

Experience in an inpatient hospital setting

Preferred Requirements:

Supervisory or management experience
