Job Description:

This is a temporary position with an end date of January 31, 2019.The Psych Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care, and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned.

Physical Demands:Sitting, standing, walking, cooking, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull, stooping/crouching, finger dexterity, speaking,hearing and visual.

Mental Demands:Frequent people contact, conflict management, crisis intervention, irregular work schedule, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decisions making skills, concentration, ability to work independently, multitasking, organizations skills, working with others.

Physical Environment:Noise, infectious disease, moving machinery, fumes/gases, human tissue/fluids, radiation, telephone usage, chemicals, biohazard matl and work inside.

Job Qualifications:

BA degree in Psychology or related field; 1 yr exp. in MH. valid Minnesota Driver's License; ability to pass background and driving record check and have a safe driving record per Fairview's Motor Vehicle policy standards. Prefer experience working with adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues and experience in leading groups
