Job Description:

As one of the first individuals encountering patients, the Rehabilitation Assistant (RA) is an essential team member supporting customer service and business operations. The RA is responsible for working at a check-in desk for patients receiving rehabilitative therapy. In addition, responsibilities include: staffing a call center for appointments, scheduling/registering patients, following up on insurance related or order requests, facilitating correspondence to medical professionals, managing queues for regulatory related paperwork, supporting supply management, cleaning department equipment.

The Rehab Assistant provides excellent customer service by communicating effectively and respectfully with patients, families, visitors, physicians, community, referral sources and Rehabilitation Services team. Performs clerical work for the Rehabilitation Services department including, but not limited to, answering telephones, faxing, scheduling, greeting, arriving and registering patients, obtaining demographic information, insurance verification, chart preparation and filling and verification of daily charge sheets, data entry of medical information.

This casual position provides coverage for planned or unplanned time off (ill calls) or volume as needed.

Job Qualifications:



One year medical office experience



High School diploma or equivalent


One year hospital or clinic front office experience with electronic scheduling, registration and Microsoft Office and Outlook

Experience with Epic scheduling and registration is preferred.

Flexibility to work various shifts and locations in the Fairview Lakes Region (Wyoming, North Branch, Chisago City, etc.) is also required.
