The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s) within Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology at Fairview Ridges Hospital locatedin Burnsville, MN.
RN will work in accordance with all policy, procedure and professional practice guidelines, while coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. The autonomous practitioner is accountable for their own practice, current knowledge, and competence.
To be successful, the Heart Cath. Specialist RN must be able to:
Assess patient needs andidentifies expected nursing outcomes
Develop an individualized nursing plan of care
Provide care to patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including: cardiac and radiologic procedures
Will cross train to the IR and Radiology departments
Position is casual and department typical hours are M-F typically 8-430. We are looking for someone who is available M-F.
Current MN RN licensure in good standing.
At least 2-3 years of Critical care experience as an RN (airway management, experience with critical care drips, iv pressers, and acls related drugs and associated patient cares )
Current BLS for a healthcare provider from the American Heart Association.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
ACLS certification at the time of hire.
One year of Cath Lab or IR, interventional radiology, emergency room or critical care experience as RN
Ability to cross train between Cath Lab and IR depts.
BSN or ability to obtain in the near future.
