Job Description:

This position provides emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very busy Level 3 trauma Emergency Room. Located in Burnsville, MN. Fairview Ridges ER processes 63,000 cases per year, with an average of 180 patients seen daily. Around 23 % are pediatric patients. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and teaching in a team environment supported by ED tech, HUC, transport aides. Fairview Ridges is consistently in the top 10% for Patient satisfaction!

This is a night position, 8 hour shifts with every other weekend. 48 hours in two weeks and Benefit eligible. May have opportunity to pick up shifts.

Board Certified Emergency Room Physicians

Open 24 hours a day

Typically 3-4 patients per RN working in a multidisciplinary environment

Job Qualifications:


Current MN RN licensure or eligible for reciprocity by start date

1 year of Emergency Department, pediatric/ adult critical care, or telemetry nursing RN experience

Requires ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency

Ability to provide current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) will be required of all staff within the first year of employment. CEN encouraged

Strong computer skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a diverse patient population

Ability to work in a team environment.


BSN preferred or willingness to obtain in future

Emergency room nursing experience strongly preferred


Must be able to provide proof of Graduation with highest nursing college degree (either by copy of diploma or transcripts).
