Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on our 12 Bed - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville MN. We are a 150 bed community based , family patient centered care with a level III trauma ER. The RN cares for adult patients with a vast array critical care needs. Partners with the patient and their families/significant others to provide them with the best care and education possible. Implements and directs plan of care with a team model which includes a NA/NST partner and members of other interdisciplinary teams. Evaluates patient care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes and goals. Will use EPIC for computerized documentation.
Working 12 hour shifts, Nights, e/o weekend, share of holidays. Benefit eligible. 48 hours in pay period. Opportunity to pick up shifts.
Current MN RN licensure or by start date.
One (1) year of RN experience in cardiac/telemetry, medical surgical, Emergency/ER, pediatric or adult critical care or ICU in a hospital setting. Including experience with acute patient changes and critical care medications.
Requires ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency for healthcare providers
Ability to provide written validation of current ACLS competency or within 6 months of hire based on employee's role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Possess strong assessment, critical thinking and delegation skills.
Must be comfortable with using computers and working with a diverse population.
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced - team environment.
Must be willing to become telemetry competent
ICU, Critical Care or Cardiac RN work experience
BSN or willingness to obtain in the future
Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing
TNCC within 1 year and/or succesful completion of approved trauma training program within 6 months of hire date.
