Job Description:

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on our 28 Bed - Adult Medical/Surgical-Oncology Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville MN.

The RN cares for a vast array of medical, oncology and post-surgical patients and their complications of cancer therapy, surgical interventions and other complex medical/surgical needs. Partners with the patient and their families/significant others to provide them with the best care and education possible. Implements and directs plan of care with a team model which includes NST or NA partner and members of other interdisciplinary teams. Evaluates patient care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes and goals. Assists with transition of care to end of life. Will use EPIC for computerized documentation.

Working 8 hour shifts, e/o weekend, share of holidays. Benefit eligible. 64 Hours in pay period, Nights 11pm -730 am

Job Qualifications:


Current MN RN licensure or by start date (june july 2018)

Requires ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Possess strong assessment, critical thinking and delegation skills.

Must be comfortable with using computers and working with a diverse population.

Must be comfortable working in a fast paced - team environment.

Must be willing to become chemo certified.


Acute care or sub - acute (LTC or TCU) RN/LPN/NA work experience.

Medical/surgical or oncology experience.

BSN or willingness to obtain

Chemotherapy administration
