The RN in the float pool is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
They will float to the following Med/Surg units: General Medicine (5A/5B), Solid Organ Transplant (7A), General Surgery (7B), Surgery Oncology (7C), Medical Oncology (7D), Neuroscience (6A), Observation (observation and outpatient) (6D)
They will also float to the following Specialty units: Telemetry/Cardiology (6C), Blood and Marrow Transplant (5C) and the Adult Intermediate Care Unit (6B).
The position is fast paced, requires critical thinking and partnering with unit staff to provide excellence in patient care and offers many learning opportunities.
Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting-max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work.

MN RN License
BSN or higher preferred
Minimum of 1 year acute care hospital experience recommended
Telemetry experience is preferred
ACLS certification is a plus
