The RN on the Solid Organ Transplant Unit at the University of Minnesota Medical Center will care for adult patients who experience kidney, pancreas, small bowel, and auto islet cell transplants on a 25 bed unit. They will also care for patients that have been readmitted for infection or rejection. They will provide care to patients receiving or who have received a kidney, pancreas, islet cell or liver transplant while performing advanced monitoring using current technology. They will manage complex medication and infusion therapies, care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interventions and demonstrate the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

MN RN licensure
A minimum of one year current medical surgical RN experience preferred
