Reporting to the Supervisor, Patient Flow, this position will be responsible for 1) processing requests for beds, 2) assigning units 3) assuring appropriate handoffs (MD and RN) and 4) ensuring timeliness of placement of external admissions (elective and emergent) in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines. Responsible for ensuring that transfer language and hospital policies are followed. Works closely with Patient Access Center, Unit and Departmental leadership in achieving organizational goal of avoiding patient diversions. Leverages Admission Officer of the Day role appropriately in circumstances where needed.
MN RN License
5 years clinical experience as an RN
Previous operations management experience (charge nurse, etc.)
Masters in Nursing or related field
3-5 years operations management experience preferred
