We have an opening for the Pre and Post Op Care Unit on the East Bank side of the U of M Medical Center! This position is authorized 64 hours per two weeks on the Day and Evening shift rotations including call time, and is eligible for benefits!

About the Job:
The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned perianesthesia (pre and post op) patients. RN will be cross-trained to work pre-op, PACU and phase II recovery. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
MN RN Licensure
2 or more years nursing experience in Perianesthesia, PACU, or ICU RN with at least 2 years experience in hospital based high acuity nursing units (such as Surgical, Transplant, BMT, Intermediate Care/Step Down units, etc.) may also be considered.
Basic Life Support Certification through Health Care Providers
ACLS or PALS Certification
