Job Description:

In collaboration with patients and families, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes. Competency training is available for specialized areas.

This casual position is located in the M Health Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN providing evaluation and treatment to outpatients in the ENT clinic and collaborating with the physicians in clinic. The patient population includes the Head and Neck Cancer population and working with laryngectomy patients.

Hours are weekdays, Tuesday through Friday.

This is a casual position with the opportunity to cross-train at other locations. It will cover sick and vaction calls as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

Required

Education

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

License/Certification/Registration

Certification by ASHA and Speech Therapy Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota, or eligible for Temporary Minnesota License per Clinical Fellowship acceptance.

Preferred

Experience

1+ year

1+ years of experience in treating swallowing disorders in the Head and Neck Cancer population, working with laryngectomy patients, conducting video swallow studies & FEES, changing TEPs, and using Swallow Strong
