Job Description:

Transport patients to and from locations throughout the University Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety. Maintain equipment and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness. Communicate with patients, families and all members of the medical team. Dispatch on the computer and monitor flow of patient.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking. lifting max. 35lbs, push max. 50lbs, pull max. 40lbs, carry max. 35 lbs, grasping with both hands, reaching above and below shoulders and across, rotation standing, bending at waist >45 degrees.

Mental Demands: Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decision making skills, concentration, ability to work independently, multitasking, organizational skills, working with others and frequent deadlines.

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED and 1+ years of customer service and computer experience and speak fluent english.

BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association by first day of employment.
