The Supply Chain Operations Site Supervisor is responsible to manage day-to-day activities and staff for surgical case cart, central supply, sterile processing of surgical instruments, linen services, medical equipment, shipping & receiving, couriers, and mail operations. They also provide strong leadership to contract and non-contract staff in a series of job classes including hiring, staff development, terminations, and resolution of grievances in contract areas.
The Supply Chain Operations Site Supervisor develops and maintains climate of exceptional customer service with actively engaged team, interacts with hospital department managers and supervisors to establish service levels and to resolve customer complaints.
This role is responsible for hospital wide distribution, stocking, and management of inventory levels and expiration dates and accountable for favorable performance of labor and expense costs for designated supply chain departments.
The Supply Chain Operations Site Supervisor actively participates in department budgeting and goal setting process, serves as subject matter expert on surgical / medical supplies and equipment and recommends and implements opportunities for improvements in customer service, cost reductions, operational processes.
Preferred: BA/BS, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Nursing or related.
Preferred: 3 years supervisory experience in healthcare union environmen
Minimum: 3 years' experience in non-healthcare supply chain, supervisory role or 1 year experience in healthcare supply chain.
