The Southdale Hospital OR (Operating Room) and Same Day Surgery departments have a combined total of 24 beds and is located in Edina, MN. We serve patients of all ages and cases including higher level heart, neuro, orthopedics, Da Vinci robotics, cardiovascular, cysto, urology, dental, OB, GYN, eye, and generals- averaging 20,000 cases a year. Surgical techs will work on a variety of cases.
This position is eligible for a Sign On bonus (up to $7,500) and Fairview Employee Referral bonus.
Schedule typically includes; 8 hour shifts (day, evening, and limited occasional night shifts), M-F with weekend, holiday rotation/call (typically every third weekend call rotation), and occasional week night call rotation. Position can be either 72 or 80 hours in pay period (exact amount determined at offer based on mutual agreement). Benefit eligible.
Surgical technologists act as a scrub person during surgical procedures providing patient care services appropriate to the age of the patients served during the shift of duty in collaboration with the RN. Responsible for adhering to standards of nursing practice and patient care, correct use of supplies/equipment and maintenance of the surgical suite under the direction of an RN. Provides high quality care and focuses on patient safety while working in a team setting.

Military or LPN surgical asisstant, or surgical technologist training program completion
Current BLS certification with American Heart Association as a Healthcare Provider
Must have ability to prioritize and work in multi-task in a complex work environment.

Surgical Technologist Certification or certification eligible at time of hire
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
