The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care team.
To be successful, the Ultrasound Technologist must be able to:
Perform diagnostic and theraputic procedures.
Ensure patient data integrity.
Participate as an active team member.
Correctly operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines.
Demonstrate ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect development level and cultural differences of populations served.
ARRT registered or ARDMS registered in one specialty within 18 months of employment at Fairview
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
Education at a level ARDMS registered or eligible
One year of more of ultrasound experience
BLS certification and strong computer skills.
