The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team
To be successful, the CT Technologist must be able to:
Perform general radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable and computed tomography and bone densitometry procedures in an efficient, accurate manner using prescribed techniques and protocols.
Demonstrate good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety protocols.
Responsible for participating in departmental quality Assurance Plan.
Performs support functions such as contrast injections as needed
Schedule includes: Float, Rotating shifts, days, evenings, nights.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Current ARRT certification
Current BLS certification for a healthcare provider thru the ARC or AHA.
One year or more of experience as a CT technologist
Experience with CR, PACS, RIS
